This resemblance shows how Ubisoft's authors and developers are working inside the series to include allusions and backstory in the game without having a clear plan in place. It wasn't an accident. Whose Haytham Kenway?
There isn't a master story bible with every element meticulously thought out, despite what many people think. According to McDevitt, these allusions and specifics arise naturally as a result of interactions between players. "Most of what is created happens organically as we navigate creation," he claimed.
We make links to other matches as things come together, and we cling to those ties. Therefore, McDevitt saw a chance when it came to naming the two assassins in Valhalla: "When it came time to mention both Assassins, I proposed Haytham or Hytham as a nod to Edward naming his son after the Assassin who brought the Hidden Ones back to England." The three objectives featured in the initial three cities of Assassin's Creed II were soon recognized by fans as references in the assassin targets from each location. The same situation, according to McDevitt, who added, "When we realized all three towns at Assassin's Creed Valhalla are assassination-themed, we immediately thought of turning them into a grand homage to our very first cities from Assassin's Creed."
Why did Haytham Kenway join the Order of the Templar?
Edward taught Haytham the basics of assassination while he was still a child, however he never directly brainwashed him with concepts of the brotherhood or even brought up the subject.
Instead, Edward gave him the ability to think independently and to question received wisdom. So, instead of preparing his child to become an assassin, Edward was preparing them to become someone he admired.
"Games may lure fans to pore over every aspect and conjure up elaborate fantasies online, but odds are that you are considering such things much more than the people who design the matches do. Iterative development was used to create this.
